As I made my personal journey through the Scriptures, and learning ancient Hebrew to the best of my ability, I begin to question the deeper meaning of certain objects, words, colors, names, and numbers. I fell in love with the menorah, and bought my own as soon as I could as well as a menorah necklace. All praises to the Most High 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 for unveiling to me the symbolism behind the menorah.

Come on a journey with me through the ancient Hebrew as we unveil the mystery of the menorah.

And you shall make a menorah of pure gold: of beaten work shall the menorah be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same. And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the menorah out of the one side, and three branches of the menorah out of the other side: Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the menorah.

SHEMOTH (EXODUS) 25:31-33

Now we’re going to have a look at the pure gold menorah, branch, knop, flower, almonds, & olive tree’s connection to the two witnesses…

First, let’s take a quick look at the olive tree’s connection to the menorah, and then later we will attempt to discern who are the two witnesses.

The two witnesses are referred to as two olive trees & two menorah. In Ancient Hebrew trees are used to symbolize both elders & families perhaps because the elder is the head of the family. You fill your menorah with oil from olive trees, meaning that by taking counsel from the righteous elder in the scriptures, the Ancient of Days, you can receive the oil you need to keep the Light of your Menorah burning.

And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two menoroth standing before the YAHUWAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 of the earth.

CHIZAYON (REVELATION) 11:3-4

You are to keep your menorah filled with olive oil which comes from pressing the fruit of the olive tree. You can’t receive the oil without Yahuwah applying pressure upon you… You have to go through trials and tribulations so that Yah can test you to see what manner of fruit you bear. You can’t expect to have oil in your menorah if you are not bearing the fruits of the spirit…

Now back to the two witnesses, Revelations 11:4 states that the two witnesses are the two olive trees. That sparked some curiosity for me. If a Hebrew idiom or cultural saying for tree symbolizes a elder or family, it’s quite possible that the two witnesses can be either a individual, a tribe, or even the Northern & Southern Kingdom. That’s how Hebrew prophecies are, they give you enough information to point you in the right direction, but it still leaves more for Yah to operate as he sees fit. We all know in part and prophesy in part, and prepare the way for whatever is the master plan of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄…

Let’s us now do a breakdown of the word “Menorah”…

Menorah 𐤌𐤍𐤅𐤓𐤄:

Root word 𐤍𐤓: Plow: Light: The pictograph nun 𐤍 is a picture of a seed, the Resh 𐤓 is a picture of the head of a man representing the top or beginning of something. Combined these mean “seed beginning”. Rains in the mountainous areas cause a flooding of the rivers. The rivers swell causing the water to flood the land next to the river. This is the only water that the land will see and is necessary for crop production. After the flood season, the land is plowed by the use of a plow attached to the yoke of the oxen. The surface of the soil is dry (no Ruach) but, when the soil is turned up (Trials & Tribulations) it reflects the Light of the sun from the water remaining in the soil. This water, symbolized by the letter Mem, is necessary for the seed (Nun) to begin germination, thus securing the root, symbolized by the letter Waw which is a tent peg

So, the ancient Hebrews understood Menorah means “a flood of light from the unknown spiritual realm securing the strong leader’s seed through praise”. They likened the Menorah unto a flood of Light unto a dry place. If you want your Light to shine, don’t hide your lamp under a basket…

Ye are the Light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a Menorah; and it gives Light unto all that are in the house. Let your Light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

MATTITHYAHU (MATTHEW) 5:14-16

Now let’s look at the word “Branch”, and see what mysteries can be discovered in this word…

Through all the struggle and pain, seeds were buried beneath the dirt, and now the Children of Yashar’al have taken root and are sprouting up as a might tree…

Branch “qanah” 𐤒𐤍𐤄: Root word 𐤒𐤍 Acquire, Nest, Zealous: The pictograph Qoph 𐤒 is a picture of the sun at the horizon, and the gathering of the light. The Nun 𐤍 is a picture of a sprouting seed. Combined these mean “gathering for the seeds”. The parent birds go about gathering materials to build a nest where they will raise their seeds (eggs). (eng: coin – for purchasing)…

The lands of our captivity were simply nests where the Most High raised his seeds… The root word for branch, qanah, is also the root word for the English word “coin”, which is used for purchasing. Our Abba has promised to redeem or purchase us from the land of our enemies. That’s one of many reasons why we are called the “Branches”.

The coat of arms from A Dos Negros, Portugal which is a city that was settled by two Negro Israelite Families from the House of Daud who were brought to the Iberian peninsula by the king of Babylon, at the request of the King of Spain. Notice the Vine & the Branches?

I am the Vine, ye are the Branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

YAHUCHANON (JOHN) 15:5-7

So, what is the ancient Hebrew understanding of Branches?

Branch “qanah” 𐤒𐤍𐤄: means “gathering of seeds to behold praise”.

Gather & Branch has the same root word due to the process of gathering branches for a nest; man’s gathering or acquiring materials by taking or buying.

The ancients measured wealth by the amount of one’s possessions, and measured distances using a branch with marks on it; Branch also means “Possess” which is to acquire someone or something through a purchase or other method. We are the precious possessions of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄…

Now let’s take a look at the word Knop.

What are Knops?

Knop “kaphtuar” 𐤊𐤐𐤕𐤅𐤓 : seed bearing pods at the end of the branch of the menorah.

Encircled is the knop which is like a miniature dish that holds the bowl at the end of the menorah branch. It functions to catch the excess oil…

The ancient Hebrew definition of Knop is “Open palms receiving the covenant securing the strong leader”. We must always remain ready with open palms to receive the Light and excess oil from our Abba. May he rain upon his children. Selah…

Next we are going to look into the symbolism of the flowers on the menorah…

Encircled is one of the flowers on the branches of the menorah. What’s the significance of this symbolism?

Let’s take a look at the ancient Hebrew understanding of the function of a flower…

Flower “parach” 𐤐𐤓𐤇-Burst: To break out or forth as a blooming flower or the wings of a bird.

The flower on the ends of the branch of a menorah symbolizes a chick bursting forth from it’s shell flapping it’s wings. If you want your branch to bud it’s flowers, you must burst forth after receiving the Light. The flower also symbolizes how the Branches are covered under the shadow of the wings of their Abba 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄.

‘Thus says AL SHADDAI YAHUWAH, Have I not prayed you as a father his sons, as a mother her daughters, and a nurse her young babes, ‘That ye would be my people, and I should be your ALAHAYAM; that ye would be my children, and I should be your Father? ‘I gathered you together, as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings: but now, what shall I do unto you? I will cast you out from my face.

EZRA REVIY`IY (4 EZRA) 1:28-30

Finally we will look at the use of the word “Almond” as it relates to the bowls at the top of the branches of the menorah.

Encircled is the bowl of the menorah and the Torah states that it should be made like almonds. Why does the Torah state this? What message was Yah trying to convey in this symbolism?

Let’s take a look at the ancient Hebrew’s understanding of the word almond

Almond “shaqad” 𐤔𐤒𐤃:

Eye, Watch-to be alert and watchful, having your eyes wide open watching carefully, “stay woke” lol. The ancient Hebrew understanding would have been, “Pressed and gathered towards the door”.

When people want to see what’s going on outside they gather themselves in the doorway. They may become pressed together when they do this if there are many watchers in a house. Yah wants us to stick together to keep a watchful eye upon the heathen enemies around about us. That’s the only way to ensure our survival.

Yah wants us to stick together as a close knit family, caring for one another as we do ourselves, so that we will have a impenetrable wall of defense against our enemies. We won’t receive our deliverance if we can’t learn to function as one body…

Lastly, we will have a look at why our Abba wanted us to make the menorah from pure gold…

Yah was very specific about what material he wanted the menorah to be made from. Can you discern the significance of this symbolism?

AND he answered me, saying, the Most High Al Alyon has made this world for many, but the world to come for few. ‘I will tell you a similitude, Ezra; As when you ask the earth, it shall say unto you, that it gives much mould whereof earthen vessels are made, but little dust that gold comes of: even so is the course of this present world. ‘There be many created, but few shall be saved.

EZRA REVIY`IY (4 EZRA) 8:1-3

So let’s take a look at the Ancient Hebrew symbolism behind gold.

Gold is precious, rare, & hidden just like the Elect Qodeshym…

Let’s do a brief word study on gold before wrapping things up…

Gold Zahab𐤆𐤄𐤁: Root Word 𐤆𐤁: Issue, Yellow: The pictograph zayin is an agricultural instrument representing the idea of harvest or food. The Bet is a representation of a house. The Hey represent a man with hands held up in prayer, praise, or beholding a revelation. Combined these pictures mean “the harvest from the house of prayer, praise, & revelation“.

Therefore, gold symbolizes yellow grains, such as wheat, which was the main staple of the Hebrew diet. This grain was usually ground into a meal for making breads. The Word of Yah is the bread of Life, precious like pure gold, which bring Light into the world.

As you can see, there is symbolism is every aspect of the menorah that sheds Light upon how Yah envisions the function of his children in the earth. Diligently seek the face of your Abba and let his Light shine upon you… I pray you receive this message with grace and peace. Shalom & Blessing Mashpackah…
